CODEBLK

Professional Labrador Retriever dog breeder specializing in quality Labradors with stable temperaments and strong working abilities.

Welcome to CODEBLK Labrador Retrievers. We are passionate dog training professionals who love a fit, healthy well balanced Labrador Retriever. We will only breed from the most solid temperaments and only those with great health, hip & elbow scores and true proven working and sporting dogs. Our beliefs are that the Labrador should be mentally sound, fit, agile, biddable, adaptable and all round companion to their humans.

Our Labradors love to work, love water with kind and eager temperaments to make your life easier. While we may have the occasional Labrador on the quiet side, our Labradors are suited to people who have active physical lifestyles were the dogs are included, dog sporting prospects, professional detection spaces and assistance dog homes. They are not for staying home in backyards 24/7 and getting dinner and a few throws of the ball.

We know what its like to have a working line and the inability to be calm or settle. We know the importance of having a great working companion yet a nice dog around the house.

Cass from a young age was always around animals primarily horses and dogs.

She was nicknamed “Snow White” as all animals would naturally flock to her. At 14 she volunteered at local vet clinics cleaning out kennels and assisting in surgeries before joining professional horse stables giving husbandry care and enrichment, Cass learnt then to become adaptable to the animal in front and quiet often had the difficult to handle horses under her wing and working well with her. After a stint in the Australian military Cass came back to her love of animals and began attending dog shows and assisting friends with their show efforts.

This is when her real passion for dog behaviour came into play and she started training, developing and working with dog aggression in both human and animals. Fast forward at least 10 more years from that time Cass found herself working alongside and developing some great working dog candidates in Assistance & Detection work, it was really here that she seen that quality genetics make the world of difference and how much easier it was to have a great baseline dog to make an even better dog once training was implemented.
