Growing up on the farm I was surrounded by animals but training the working dogs quickly became my favourite pastime.

First with labradors I began in dog sports in 2014 and Scent Work since 2019. I have recently commenced training of my 6th Scent Work prospect. I love the versatility of gun dogs and am a Dogs Australia Registered Breeder of Flat Coated Retrievers. I am passionate about developing teams of dog and hander that are fun, supportive and successful. A good day is any day spent having fun with your dog.

Growing up Ching has always loved animals and especially dogs. In her childhood, her parents delegated the dog training to her older sister as she was “too young”, so what did she do? Train the cat instead of course! Her cat could sit, hi five and shake with each paw, scratch the post and jump on objects when cued.

She took a slight detour into a career of music teaching and developed great communication and teaching skills which are highly transferrable to dog training and coaching. Ching enjoys creating a fun and exciting learning environment where students are able to develop their understanding and become a team with their canine companion.

In 2019, Ching adopted her two beautiful greyhounds, Bert and Ernie, and started on the journey to proving to the world that greyhounds can do cool stuff too!

Since becoming a dog trainer, Ching has worked in greyhound specialty classes, doggy day care, behaviour modification and now nosework. She is currently a ANWI through NACSW soon to be CNWI She actively participates in seminars and training whenever the opportunities arises and likes to Get Nerdy!

My animal training journey began after completing a Bachelor of Science (Zoology) and being hired at Australia Zoo working with everything from dingoes to birds of prey.

I have been working as a professional dog trainer for about 6 years focusing on behaviour modification and obedience. I started nose work in 2022 as an outlet for my high drive Toller, Nova.

Since then we’ve fallen in love with the sport and spend every free second training and competing. I can’t wait to share this love with other dog owners and watch their nosework journeys unfold.
